An introductory and comprehensive coffee making course that focuses on the understanding of espresso extractions with scientific principles and flavor analysis based on the Global Coffee School (GCS) standards. Along with the technical skills practice grinding, dosing and tamping, students hone their sensory skills to analyze, classify and determine espresso flavor ranges according to extraction variables matched with the Scentone® Aroma Standard. Fundamental milk steaming and latte art patterns will be taught for students to create visually presentable coffee beverages.
